Gia Mantegna : Miss Golden Globe 2011
Gia Mantegna, actor Joe Mantegna’s daughter, will see a lot of screen time on Sunday night as this year’s Miss Golden Globe 2011. From Melanie Griffith to Rumer Willis, see the Hollywood debutantes who’ve held the title in years past.
The Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) has selected actress Gia Mantegna as Miss Golden Globe 2011 for The 68th Annual Golden Globe® Awards. Chosen by the HFPA, Miss Golden Globe is traditionally the child of a well-known celebrity and assists during the Golden Globe Awards ceremony. “FUZE congratulates Gia on being named Miss Golden Globe 2011,” said Jose Serafin, Director of Marketing for FUZE. Previous Miss/Mister Golden Globe honorees include Rumer Willis (daughter of Demi Moore and Bruce Willis), Laura Dern (daughter of Diane Ladd and Bruce Dern), Joely Fisher (daughter of Connie Stevens and Eddie Fisher), Melanie Griffith (daughter of Tippi Hedren) Freddie Prinze Jr. (son of Freddie Prinze), and last year’s Miss Golden Globe Mavis Spencer (daughter of Alfre Woodard and Roderick Spencer).
“The Golden Globes are definitely more elegant and classy. “I am always trying to not wear black. I am definitely wearing something not black.”
